As Daytona State College students transition into a new season filled with busy schedules and cooler weather, many on campus are still invested in the drama-filled show of the summer.
The Summer I Turned Pretty aired its first episode of the third and final season on July 16, 2025. The episode opened with a familiar sound from previous seasons that transported viewers right back to Cousins Beach.
Audrey Flores, a freshman at DSC, expressed her love for the overall aesthetic the show radiates. “The show is very beachy, coastal, and overall nostalgic,” she said.
Her description reflects the show’s signature vibe, which has remained consistent across all three seasons and continues to draw viewers into its dreamy, sun-soaked charm

DSC Sophomore Marleina Caro has been anticipating the final season. “I have been watching since season one and have been loving season three so far. Although I don’t always agree with Belly’s decisions,” she said. Her mixed feelings reflect a common reaction. Belly’s choices often spark debate, which makes the show just as unpredictable as the storyline itself.
A pivotal moment in season three was Jeremiah’s proposal to Belly after their one-day breakup. A breakup that stemmed from Jeremiah cheating on Belly during his fraternity’s trip to Cabo during spring break.
For many, this final season represents the answer to a long awaited question: Who will Belly choose, Conrad, Jeremiah, or herself? While fans wait for her decision, they’ve been picking sides, with the two most popular being “Team Conrad” and “Team Jeremiah.”

DSC Sophomore Kimberly Ortiz excitedly expressed that she was team Conrad. “I believe (Conrad and Belly’s) connection is more deep, meaningful, and pure. They push themselves to be better people for each other, while with Jere (Belly) settles and lets him consume her.”
Michaela Jacobson, a freshman at DSC, is also on Team Conrad. “I think (Conrad) is more grown and has proven himself over the seasons.” This is a popular opinion among fans who see that Conrad has matured and has become more reliable, whereas Jeremiah still seems to act on impulse.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to wrap up its final episode on September 17, 2025. The last episode will be a closing chapter for many viewers who have been enjoying the show for many summers now.
“I am a little heartbroken that the show is ending because this was the show me and my sister loved watching together during the summertime,” said Ortiz. The final episode may close the book on Belly’s story, but for fans, the series leaves behind something more lasting, a reminder that “we’ll always have summer.”
“It’s bittersweet, but I am excited to see Belly find herself and maybe one day find herself back to Conrad,” said Caro.

I have never seen the show, but Samanta Gonzalez’s article has intrigued me! Great job! I will have to check out Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad before the season ends.
