Benson Boone is hitting the road with his second studio album “American Heart”!
Set to release on June 20, 2025, Boone made this announcement during his performance at Coachella on Friday April 11.
Benson Boone, who is known for his emotional songwriting, has built a career on his vulnerability, but with “American Heart” he’s taking things in a new direction, less pop and more storytelling. “American Heart” is very personal, and Boone sees the album as a reflection of himself.
It all started with the early release of his single “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else”, on February 28th, 2025…
Following the early release in February, Boone’s Coachella performance gave fans another hint at something new—his live debut of “Mystical Magical”, a song infused with 70’s nostalgia and hints of pop. “The one I think will end up being biggest is ‘Mystical Magical’” said Boone in an interview with Rolling Stone.
This time, Boone is turning away from the elements of his first album “Fireworks and Rollerblades”, and leaning into something different. “A lot of it,” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone, “is very Bruce Springsteen, Americana, like a little more of a retro vibe.”
With the release just weeks away, anticipation is high. Both fans and critics alike are excited to see how Boone’s shift in style will play out. If the early singles are any indication, “American Heart” could mark a defining moment in his career, one that feels built to last.
“ ‘American Heart’ is my heart, and it’s not my heart because it’s American. It’s my heart because I’m Benson Boone,” he told Rolling Stone.
