As the fall semester continues, campus life has become a blur of deadlines, DoorDash orders and moments that matter more then we realize. But with the help of modern technology, some of these moments were caught on film.
For an inside scoop on what the fall semester has really looked like for students, I asked them to share one photo to sum up their semester so far.
Set to graduate in December, nursing student Cynthia Godwyn shares her secret to success.

“The last semester of nursing school is packed,” Godwyn said. “Its super stressful. There’s a lot of multitasking and energy needed to complete the program, so Dunkin’ helps me get through it.”
In pursuit of her AA, first year student Kelianice Rivera, shared a photo from her first day of college.

“It’s a new beginning,” Rivera said. “It’s different than high school, there’s a lot more to offer so I don’t feel stuck.”
Sonography student, Charity Sutton, shared a place she finds herself often.

“I’m always working on something,” said Sutton. “Whether I’m catching up on work or getting ahead in classes, you can find me just like this in the cafeteria.”
Another sonography student, Abigail Davis, shares what keeps her sane.

“College has been insanely busy for me,” Davis said. “Trail rides are a chance for me to slow down and hang out with one of my best friends. Because we’re both so busy, we don’t get to see each other often so it’s a nice way to slow down and catch up.”
Trinitee Williams, an AA student, shared her number one motivation.

“I like making money,” Said Willams. “It’s what keeps me going and happy. It’s why I’m in school.”
Future ER nurse, Myah Alexander, gives us a glimpse inside her well-loved textbook.

“I spend like 12 hours a week studying,” says Alexander. “Between volunteering at the Advent Health Hospital and my future career, I need to know this stuff. So my semester was and is spent by hitting the books.”
From first day nerves to daily trips to the Dunkin across from campus, each captures the rhythm of students here on campus. Each image tells its own story of balancing classes and hanging out with friends to everything in between. As the semester heads into the final stretch, these moments remind us that even in a rush, there’s value in pausing to appreciate how far we’ve come, and how hard it was to get here. From the Daytona to Deltona campus, these students show that no matter where we are, we are unified as the students at Daytona State College.
