Regardless of whether you are starting your journey at Daytona State or are returning for your fifth semester, registering for your upcoming courses may cause confusion and seem like a daunting task. As we steadily approach the spring semester, it is important to get the help you need when choosing the appropriate classes for you as a student, and our academic advisors are here to assist you however they can.
Though advisors over in building 100 can aid you in your college career in many capacities, building your schedule for the next semester is of the upmost importance at this point in the year. When setting up meetings for academic support, advisors are quite flexible, and they recently implemented the feature of scheduling appointments online to plan visits at times convenient to the student. However, if you are hoping to knock out a session and have your questions answered after class without needing to schedule one beforehand, walk-in Wednesdays are a great opportunity to do so. Wait times are short and you won’t feel rushed if other students’ appointments with an advisor are back-to-back with yours.
Though some advisors do not have the capability of making your schedule for you, it is simpler than you think, and something you can do on your own. Advisors can help you decide what courses are right for your degree, give you advice for taking accelerated or full-term courses and so on, but the action of selecting your classes can be done by yourself right on your own computer.
Within your Falcon-Self Service, choosing Enroll By My Requirements within the Enrollment tab can guide you on what prerequisites and courses you may need to take for the degree you are pursuing. You can decide what classes are most appropriate for you by selecting your preferences on class time, professors, campus, length of class and so forth.
