Over the past two months, the citizens of Daytona Beach were watching
with bated breath one of the most ambitious construction projects in
the area.
On March 22, 2021, the gas station chain Buc-ee’s proudly opened
their doors to their first guests at the intersection of LPGA Boulevard
and Interstate I-95. Buc-ee’s is not just a place where you can refuel
your car.
On the 53,000 square foot site, visitors will find 104 gas pumps, as
well as a store that has a fabulous selection of food and drinks.
Buc-ee’s offers a large variety of snacks and fresh baked goods. It is
also famous for its own homemade jerky that you can find at the long
jerky counter.

Buc-ee’s has a wide range of services for the traveler. Here
customers can relax, have a delicious meal, buy souvenirs with the
beaver logo, clothes, kitchen accessories and even cute home
decorations. Another nice amenity are the large clean restrooms.
Patricia Jones, one of the customers, mentioned, “My husband and I
couldn’t wait to visit Buc-ee’s on LPGA.” She said, “I read on the
internet that one of the Buc-ee’s in Texas is the world’s largest
convenience store. Walking around here is an amazing experience and I
feel part of something so grand.”
Buc-ee’s, in Daytona Beach, provides more than 200 full-time great
pay jobs to area residents. The well-trained staff is friendly and
provide a safe place for visitors to shop.

Anthony Garcia, a resident of Margaritaville, said that he was very
happy with the appearance of Buc-ee’s giant gas station. “I am
occasionally late for work because I have to wait in line at the gas
station,” Garcia said. “There’s always a pump open at Buc-ee’s and that
is a time saver for me. I would call that a home run.”
Some were worried that there would be a traffic jam in the area
around the intersection of LPGA Boulevard and Interstate I-95. The city
planned well in advance for Buc-ee’s opening and have widened the roads
to six lanes eastbound and four lanes westbound to allow a much better
flow of traffic, hopefully eliminating the dreaded traffic jam.
So, if for those who need to refuel their car or stomach or are bored
or just curious, they shouldn’t put off their visit to Buc-ee’s.
