Rising Rumors of Elden Ring DLC

Arise now ye Tarnished! Ye dead, who stopped playing! The call of an Elden Ring DLC speaks to us all!

That’s right my fellow tarnished players. I hope you are all prepared to return to The Lands Between with the DLC that is rumored to be in the works. A well-known data-miner named Sekiro Dubi leaked some files pertaining to the future content of Elden Ring.

What Sekiro Dubi has found is very exciting, as they have discovered files that have been added since the 1.07 patch. Of course one of these was the colosseum PVP option that was recently released, but what might shock you, my fellow tarnished, is that there is more, with data containing files yet to release the potential following:

• Legacy dungeons
• New Customization options
• New Weapons
• 16 NPC entries
• A divine tower
• 30 potential bosses

Of course these files might not have their names revealed, but with said data there could be endless possibilities that might be added to the story of Elden Ring. Personally, I want a DLC about two stories I’ve been dying to learn more about.

1. The journey of the tarnished who left The Lands Between under the command of the the First Elden Lord, Godfrey.

2. A story revolving around Miquella and his new form

While obviously there are many more story ideas to build a DLC around, these two are prime potential stories that could bring back players by the tens of thousands and solve many questions.

For those who don’t know the lore, Godfrey and his armies defeated many potential enemies to the Golden Order (like the fire giants) to the point there was no one else to fight. Following this, Godfrey and many Tarnished lost their grace and left in exile to what is known as “The Badlands” by Queen Marika, whom they were married to as a consort. At this time, he returned to his original name of Hoarah Loux and became “Chieftan of the Badlands”, where its speculated he had a daughter named Nepheli Loux, who the player meets in-game. This is a potential DLC story due to the information of cut dialogue where Godfrey seems to know that Marika shattered the Elden Ring and says to prepare to return.

As a recap, Great Runes are parts of the Elden Ring that were snatched by every demigod when it was shattered and for the player to use them, they must go to the divine towers across the map.

With the exception of Godwyn The Golden and Ranni The Witch, the characters who had a Great Rune are Godrick (The Grafted), Morgott (The Omen King), Mohg (Lord Of Blood), Rennala (Queen of the Full Moon), Rykard (Lord Of Blasphemy), Starscourge Radahn, and Malenia (The Blade Of Miquella). However, there is one demigod we haven’t directly interacted with: Miquella, The Unalloyed.

If there is a divine tower for Miquella’s shard is in the DLC, we might potentially catch a glimpse of him before and/or certainly after being taken by Mohg while in his cocoon in an attempt to free his twin sister Malenia from her curse of Scarlet Rot and his curse of eternal youth as a child. While players will finally meet Miquella, there is also the possibility that lore hunters might also learn more about The Formless Mother, one of many Outer Gods who conspired with her vassal and Miquella’s half-brother, Mohg, by using Miquella’s heritage as a possible candidate to rule after Marika in a plot to overthrow The Greater Will.

In the meantime, let’s hope FromSoftware blows their players away and makes Elden Ring, once again, the greatest game ever.
